CONFERENCE FORMAT
ENVIRONMENT
It's important to have an atmosphere that allows for safe and open discussion. Our hope is to model at a macro level what a healthy group experience should look like on a micro-level. Everyone sits at tables with no more than either people per a table so everyone contributes to the conversation. Discussion guidelines and boundaries are provided by the speakers ahead of time.
DISCUSSION
A conference where you do more speaking than the speaker! That's our goal! Groups are all about discussion so why would we format a Groups conference that was anti-discussion? The most valuable part of this conference is you talking with other group leaders, brainstorming, verbally processing, and hearing ideas from others and not just the speakers!
Why should I bring my team to the
Build Groups Conference?
GROUP LEADER FRIENDLY
There are a lot of conferences all over the country for Pastors, but there are next to none for Group Leaders or Lay Leaders. Up to 90% of our attendees are Group Leaders or non-pastoral staff. Your group leaders can be challenged by other lay group leaders in the same ministry trenches as them.
INEXPENSIVE
The cost to attend the Build Groups Conference is $35 per attendee and early bird is only $25 per attendee. It is the perfect conference for any church on a budget looking to equip their group leaders with top notch training. Registration cost include four sessions, resources from each session, and a free membership to the Build Groups website.
MOMENTUM BUILDER
Coming together with group leaders and pastors from other churches is one of the most energizing experiences that can give group leaders/lay leaders a glimpse of the bigger picture. This conference experience can be a revitalization to your leaders that helps build momentum in your ministry!
